Changing our pipeline - This was one of our hardest decisions because we where working all with Karma and USD's, but since this ipeline is so new, and the most of us where learning we decided to change our pipeline, and work with Arnold, Houdini and Huke, in order to enhance our talents and get our best foot forward for this project.
As a team and with the advise of the professors we decided to switch to Arnold in Maya to do Look Development and keep using Houdini for effects. I decided to make a quick texture for our treasure asset in order to test the pipeline with Bomin in order to see how it will work. We found some problems when transfering the textures and the UV placements to Houdini that we are still figuring out, the values for reflection are different. Here is a comparison between the two assets, but the idea is to keep improving to get our pipeline working as soon as possible so we can keep going with the project and the look development.
