Boat Compositing

I worked on getting the boat CGI to match the original image since the model and shadows changed. I worked on the shadows to match the shadow provided by the original plate, and I managed to color match it.
To start doing that, I added the new versions of the model and the shadows; for the model, I keyed it because the lighting artist decided to give me the boat on a green screen, so I decided to use KeyLight to do this step and procedure. After that, I worked on matching the colors of the boats with color grading. I noticed that in my first versions of this new composite, the boat was a little yellow when changing the saturation, so I tried to keep the yellow but toned it down a bit to match the background more easily.

We would have animation for the ropes and the shadows of the boat, but the render farm had a couple of problems, so Jenson did not have time to perfect the animation. Despite that, we got the new static version of the boat in the composite to check it out with the mentors this week. To keep going, I decided to work on the shadow; for this shadow, I used a different technique than the one I used a mask with the shadow matte provided into a Color Correct node, and this time, it worked to match the shadow that we can see in the original plate. In the picture on the right, the shadow most front is the shadow from the actor, and the shadows in the background are the CGI matching.

We should have the animation next week, but since this is the asset, it should allow me not to make many changes to the composite. It is also important to mention that I used the color correction for the last compositing and adjusted it to make it better and match the new boat colors. I also worked with multiple color correction nodes during the composite to match the mood you see on the plate. The picture included does not have a color correction.
