In the reunion with our Mentors from The Mill we got some feedback on how to keep going and how to improve our project. We showed them a first cut of the footage we obteined the last weekend. 

Week 3 presentation

Feedback from the mentors 

  • Consider adding one more shot of the character wondering around to enhance the story telling vibe from the footage. 

  • Change the camera movement of the drone shot to make it more intensional 

  • Add more story telling elements to the drone shot like footprints of the character. 

  • Sunset shots are a little blownout or too bright, work on how to have a correct exposure of the sky and the character. (Maybe sky replacement)

  • Chest shot openning needs to be more dramatic, the fog should be slowered down or more flowy. 

  • Watch out for the scale of the ship in the CGI integration plate. 

  • Specularity adjustment on the can and coin. 

New discoveries and feedback from professors 

  • Change of the story thanks to the supportive writter that is helping us enhace the story.

    • Working on how the story and what do we want to tell about the product. ​

    • We decided our three main worlds we wanted to express with the comercial are: ADVENTURE, REFRESHING AND SATISFYING. 

    • Also we needed and stronger motivation to get the pirate/mariner moving so we decided to include some scenes to enhance the idea of dehydration at the begging of the story, so the public could tell how much he needed to find this treasure. 

    • Shoutout to Jenson for helping us skecth all of this in a new storyboard. 

  • Getting a new actor for our production, despite of Ty's effort we decided to reach out and get an actor that could help us portray this character that will make this product more professional.

    • I found Marcos a B.F.A in acting from SCAD. ​

  • Changing our pipeline - This was one of our hardest decisions because we where working all with Karma and USD's, but since this ipeline is so new, and the most of us where learning we decided to change our pipeline, and work with arnold, houdini and nuke, in order to enhance our talents and get our best foot forward for this project.
